Woodstock Guitar Town

It is only at the Woodstock Festival, no entrance exams, no uniform, for free and equipped with a school instrument, that you can participate in FRIKOLEKCJE (free guitar lessons)

The FRIKOLECKJE will take place at the Academy of Fine Arts and will be lead by Jacek Spruch, a fingerstyle master. This acoustic guitar enthusiast is the author of the manual “Fingerpicking, slide and open tuning” as well as many educational publications in music magazines.

Jacek Spruch will show you that an acoustic guitar, knowingly over-tuned, allows you to create real magic. You will find out how to play a ragtime guitar and what the slide technique entails.

You will also be able to try to imitate the Master on one of 20 T.Burtons. The Final of the FRIKOLEKCJA will be a lecture entitled “From Robert Johnson to Tommy Emmanuel”. Jacek Spruch will tell you about the history of fingerstyle, illustrating the lecture by playing compositions of the most outstanding guitarists of the century.

At the GUITAR CPR centre you will have the chance to reanimate your guitars. Assistance, technical advice and also pointers on how to distinguish a guitar from a guitar-similar product will be given by Jan Stawinski. Mr Stawinski is the Chief Technician of the Kisielewski company, the main creator of the T. Burton guitar designs, as well as the person responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and guitar service at our company.
