We are the sponsors of the International Festival SOLO OF A LIFETIME, whose founding father and organizer is Mieczylaw Jurecki, the bass guitarist of the groups Perfekt, Budka Suflera and many, many more. By creating an opportunity for starting-off musicians to present their talent in public, Mietek Jurecki wants to encourage to create music. He does not set any limitations neither concerning the type of instrument nor the level of musical education.

What he is doing, is proposing a way of spending free time, different to that conventional and accepted unfortunately in some communities. The motto of this year’s festival: “Its better to play than drink and dope” clearly expresses Mietek’s intentions.

In order to participate in the competition you must record your solo to the given backing vocals and send it to the address of Radio Lublin. Here, it will be judged by a group of experts and the participants who most stand out will be invited to take part in the final concert, where they will have the opportunity to play with the best.

We wish everyone the best of luck in winning the competition, however, remember that if you do not succeed this time... this isn’t the most important thing in life. If you play along with the motto of the festival, sooner or later each one of you will surely play their own great SOLO OF A LIFETIME.
